Immerse yourself

What is breathwork?

This isn’t your ordinary wellness practice. It’s a fusion of ancient breathing techniques and sound technology, crafted to disrupt the mundane and spark bold, lasting change.

The practice

Breath, sound and the body.

Through layered audio, guided breath and somatic cues, this modality helps you release emotional blocks, reconnect with your true self, and reclaim clarity, calm and confidence: mentally, emotionally and physically.

Unlike traditional breathwork, which often focuses only on the breathing pattern, an Inner Rising session adds:

  • Binaural audio and curated music
  • Layered affirmations
  • Guided meditation and somatic prompts
  • Support at every step, so you feel safe, comfortable and grounded

Try it now

Take a breath with me.

A slow, even breath is the simplest way to tell your body it’s safe. Follow the circle for a minute and notice how you feel.

A full breathwork session goes much further than this, with guided journeys, sound and support. But it all begins with a single breath.

Breathe in…Breathe out…Ready when you are

One slow breath is about nine seconds. Stop any time, and don’t push it.

Benefits of transformation

Why choose breathwork?

01

Burn stress. Build resilience.

Activate your parasympathetic nervous system to drop into a state of deep calm, so you can meet life’s chaos with strength.

02

Reconnect with yourself.

Awaken your awareness, listen to your body, and rediscover your truth.

03

Let go of what you’re carrying.

Make space to release held tension and old patterns that no longer serve you.

04

Transform your well-being.

Go beyond managing stress. Step into emotional freedom and thrive.

What to expect

Arrive. Breathe. Integrate.

You’ll be guided through every step. All you need is an open mind.

Arrive

A calm welcome and a check-in on how you’re feeling and what you’d like from the session. You’ll be told what to expect, and you’re always in charge.

Breathe

Lying comfortably, you’re guided through breath with sound, music and prompts. Let the experience carry you. Emotional release, insight or deep calm are all part of it.

Integrate

Time to come back and let it settle. Afterwards, drink water, rest, and journal if that feels helpful. It’s normal to feel tired or energised.

Private or group

Two ways to breathe.

Private sessions are completely personalised to your emotional needs and goals, with tailored one-on-one support. Two hours, $120.

Group sessions offer a shared space where participants breathe together under guided instruction. More communal, and ideal if you’d like to connect with like-minded people. Ask Joel about the next one.

Breathwork is a powerful practice and isn’t a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you’re pregnant, or have a heart or blood-pressure condition, epilepsy or a current mental-health diagnosis, please talk to Joel before booking.

What is Inner Rising Breathwork, and how is it different from traditional breathwork?

It’s an immersive experience that blends ancient breathing techniques with sound technology, guided meditation and somatic prompts. Traditional breathwork often focuses on the breathing pattern alone. These sessions add binaural audio, curated music and layered affirmations to create a full-body experience, designed to help you reach deeper emotional release, clarity and a nervous-system reset in a single session.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all. Sessions are designed for every level, from complete beginners to regular meditators and breathwork practitioners. You’ll be guided through every step, with support to help you feel safe, comfortable and grounded throughout.

What’s the difference between private and group sessions?

Private sessions are completely personalised to your emotional needs and goals, with tailored guidance and one-on-one support. Group sessions offer a shared space where participants breathe together under guided instruction. Still deeply transformative, but more communal, and ideal if you’d like to connect with like-minded people.

What should I expect after a session?

Everyone’s experience is unique. Many people report feeling lighter, clearer and more emotionally grounded. You might feel emotional release, new insights, or deep calm, and it’s normal to feel either tired or energised. Give yourself time to integrate: drink water, rest, and journal if that feels helpful.

Is breathwork safe for me?

Breathwork is a powerful practice and it isn’t a substitute for medical or mental health care. Please tell Joel before you book about anything he should know, such as pregnancy, heart or blood-pressure conditions, epilepsy, a history of seizures, or a current mental-health diagnosis, so you can decide together whether it’s right for you right now.

Where are private sessions held?

In person at the Inner Rising studio in Sellicks Beach (every day), at SA Wellness Centre in O’Halloran Hill (Mondays and Fridays), and at Art of You in Port Elliot (Tuesdays and Thursdays), from 10am to 8pm. You choose where and when you book. Online sessions have also been offered; message Joel to ask.

How long is a private session and what does it cost?

A private 1-on-1 breathwork session is two hours and costs $120.
